Somewhere

It's a crazy thing to say that somewhere our children could be out there right now. Today, Katie and I stand on our 5th year of marraige, anxiously awaiting the day when we can bring home our sons and daughters.

In our conversations, we find ourselves saying often that we feel like we're already in love with our kids even though we don't know who or where they are. That's an odd thing to explain to people. I mean, how can you love someone you've never met? How could you already be willing to do whatever it takes to love and protect them? The answer is Jesus.

God does crazy things when you surrender your life over to Him. Sometimes I think the Bible should come with a disclaimer on the front, "Warning - Contents Found Inside Are Known to Have Life Altering Effects - Proceed With Caution". But what's crazy about that last statement is that when you truly begin to believe the words of Jesus, you want to be changed. You find that living the American Dream or whatever else it may be that you believe just isn't enough; you have to be radical.

So here we are, 5 years later embracing the radical. Will you join us?
