Christmas Pictures Galore!

This year Christmas was very different.  Our family of 7 was only 5 this year, we were going out of town 2 days later (so we thought) and my dad was struggling with some health issues.  We kept it so low key and laid back.  I loved getting to spend more family time and less time stressing about presents.  Steve and I decided this year we wanted most of our Christmas money to go to something other than gifts.  So we did that and gave it to something we believe in very much!  Once we made that decision the next one was so easy... only one gift each.  It made gift buying so easy, quick and kept the focus on the reason we celebrate at all.  Christmas day we gave our gifts... I got 2 DVD's on herbs that I really wanted and Steve got these goofy plush dolls he really wanted for his office.... it's a long story but he loves goofy stuff! After we did gifts and hung out for a bit we headed to my parents house.  My dad has been battling some pretty serious health issues for the last 3 years.  A few days before Christmas they started acting up again and so we spent a lot of the day being with him, hanging out in the living room and just keeping things low key... man I keep repeating that :)  We did some cooking getting ready for another family to come join us.  The "P" family is one of our favorite families.  They are family to us in every way.  Most of them were out of town but Momma "P" and son were able to come.  It was so good to see them and share things we had learned this last year.  Steve and I went to the barn after dinner to feed the horses... dad has a horse not us.  On the way we had great conversations with our friend on life, marriage and truth.  All in all it was a great day!  Below are pictures from the day.  Enjoy!
