Adoption Timeline - The Early Years.
April 3, 2011 - Sent in preliminary application with $50.00 fee
April 4, 2011 - Preliminary application approved!
April 5, 2011 - Sent in official application
April 6, 2011 - Official application approved!
April 11, 2011 - Met with our social worker for the first time, signed our adoption agreement with Bethany and turned in our first payment of $1000.00. Received formal paperwork to begin working on.
April 27, 2011 - Went and got fingerprinted. Met another family who was there to do the same thing (God is in the details).
May 2, 2011 - Began first of two required classes.
May 6, 2011 - Completed Adoption Training
May 18, 2011 - First interview for Home Study
May 21, 2011 - HUGE Adoption Yard Sale!!
May 29, 2011 - We reached our next goal of $7000.00!!!
June 3, 2011 - Individual interviews for Home Study
June 17, 2011- Final Home Study Interview in the Home.
June 17, 2011 - Made our second payment of $7000.00!!!
June 23, 2011 - Hear our Home Study Has Been Approved
August, 2011 - Feel God's push to work with two agencies. Sent our paperwork to Mother Goose Adoptions.
August 31, 2011 - Hear we have been chosen to meet with a family.
September 2, 2011 - 1st Meeting
September 4, 2011 - 2nd Meeting
September 5, 2011 - 3rd Meeting
September 6, 2011 - Hear we have not been chosen.
September 10, 2011 - Final Huge Yard Sale!!!
September 14, 2011 - Meet with family again to talk about options.
September 18, 2011 - Begin visits with the girls.
October, 2011 - We are told we are the family
October 7, 2011 - We begin weekend stays
December 2, 2011 - Katie becomes a stay at home mom.
December 16, 2011 - We have to tell the family good-bye

May, 2012 - We switch gears and join a new agency.
June 11, 2012 - Orientation
June 12, 2012 - SURPRISE!! We start training months ahead of schedule!!
June 19, 2012 - First Home Study Visit
June 26, 2012 - Second Home Study Visit
June 29, 2012 - Final Home Study Visit
July 8, 2012 - We got our first call to be foster parents
July 10, 2012 - We meet our first sweet foster daughter
November 7, 2012 - All the kids were removed
November 19, 2012 - Signed up with Bethany Christian Services older child program!
January 28, 2013 - Third home study complete and we begin the waiting again
